Navajo Name: Jeeh deez''a (Gum pitch extending out)

Low Mountain Chapter

The Hopi and Navajo Land dispute and eventual land
partitions have kept the chapter from needed development.
However, recent improvements have included a Chapter House,
pre-school, telephone service, electrical extensions,
domestic water development. The Twenty Mutual Help Housing
units are occupied. Electrical live power extension nearly
covers most of this rural area, The chapter also saw that
100 homes were provided with bathroom mid-decade.

Low Mountain Chapter holds monthly meetings in order to
keep the Low Mountain chapter residents informed and have
a forum in which to express thier opinions to thier Navajo
Council Delegate or decide on the matters concering their
chapter.
"Servicing the Governmental Needs of the Low Mountain
Chapter Residents".
